“As a professional skier and B.A.S.E. jumper, I wanted to let you know SPOT is awesome! It prevented a so-so bad day from becoming much worse. We were B.A.S.E. jumping an 800 foot cliff in Colorado when my friend broke her pelvis landing on some rocks. We were unsure of her injuries and concerned because she complained of lower back pain. The landing is about an hour hike away from the nearest road over boulders, trees, a water drainage and steep gullies. Knowing we couldn't move her, I hit the 911 button on SPOT. The helicopter made a textbook landing shortly after and flew her out to get the medical attention she needed. Thanks SPOT team!”
