My Adventure Story
Today I biked up Shultz Pass, then up the Waterline Road into the inner basin, then I hiked up the Inner Basin Trail up to the Weatherford Trail and finally to the summit of Mount Humphreys, the highest point in Arizona. I started at 7000 ft and went up to 12643 feet. It took me 6.5 hours to get to the summit. The wind on the top was pretty fierce, I am guessing gusts well over 50 mph. On the return I took the Schultz Creek trail but otherwise retraced my route. Notice how poorly the tracking was for the bike legs (mostly in the trees). I tried to fix the start and finish, but it totally screwed up the speed thing. oh well, total time just over 11 hours, somewhere over 28 miles.
