The morning started out soggy. We ended up packing everything wet, yuck. The night on Kentucky Lake was very relaxing and quite.  We woke in the morning and headed up the Trace in the land between the lakes (Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley) although it was raining, the road and scenery were amazing.
We stopped at the spot where we had our honeymoon several years ago. Headed north along the Ohio river and took the ferry across to Cave in Rock IL. 
We are spending a few days with family in Southern IL.
