My Adventure Story
The
Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Bermuda is an exciting self-development
programme available to all young people in Bermuda between 14 and 25
years of age, equipping them with life-skills to make a difference to
themselves, their communities and their world.
The Duke of
Edinburgh's International Award, also known as The International Award
for Young People, was started in the U.K. in 1956 and has developed
over the passed 50+ years into an internationally recognised Youth
Programme. During this time, more than 6 million young people from
over 108 countries have participated in the Programme.
This
summer, Bermuda's Young People are participating in two overseas
Adventurous Journeys. The first is in The Bahamas between June 28th
and July 11th, 2009 - and the second is in Jamaica, between July 30th
and August 16th, 2009. You can follow us here, or on our SPOT FindMe Page at http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0OR4Ql8TbmpCQuKUsI49xgkegihfRazDJ or on our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Duke-of-Edinburghs-Award-in-Bermuda/64910196992.
