Well the trip is almost over, so we decided to go down into coal country to see some of the sights. We stopped in some interesting places and seen some company stores. Stores were owned and operated by the coal companies. The sold there good to the miners and would allow credit against wages. Thus the phrase (I owe my sole to the company store) Coal mining must be a hard life, not for the claustrophobic, not sure how much money the workers made but I bet it was nothing to the riches the owners made.
Lots of curvy roads. Come to think about it I am not sure there is a straight road in all of West Virginia.
All in all a great trip.  I could have lived without the 95 degree temps. on the way home.
