My Adventure Story
Arrived in Edmonton with Monica and the weiner dog waiting for us. Spent the night at Elaine & Ron's. Visited with all the kids the next day. We decided to head home about 3 pm. We were definitely ready to get home. Took off in quite a thick haze. Climbed to 9500 just to get out of it. As we got closer to the mountains it cleared a bit. Being that there were no clouds in the sky I wanted to head towards Mount Robson in hopes of some good pics. It was starting to get a bit smokey but I got some good ones. The closer we got to Quesnel the smokier it got. When we arrived in Quesnel Dennis & Francine were waiting for us. It was good to see them, we missed them after spending three weeks with them it was funny to spend a day without them. As we landed we saw another aircraft from the Century Flight sitting at the airport. It was Werner. He had just arrived about an hour earlier on his way home to Pitt Meadows. He had taken a northerly route home after visiting Newfoundland and travelling through the Yukon and NWT. We all went out for a farewell dinner to finish off a great adventure. We have a lot of fond memories from this trip, met a lot of very nice people, and look forward to possibly hosting a reunion next year. Jerry has the flying bug more than ever now and it looks like we are going to the 108 Fly-in next weekend. Maybe we will see some new found friends there. Writing this blog has been fun and I hope all who read it have enjoyed it. I tried to put up more pics of airplanes upon Robert's request.
