My Adventure Story
First run on the Yamaha - which I've owned for 3 whole days. Took it up to the top of Echo Ridge to get in some dirt experience with the knobby tires. Bike is fun, responsive, so light weight and fun to ride on the washboardy gravel. A bit cold coming down through the shady twisties as it was well after 5pm. The triangular nature of the "track" is due to the stop I made to fuel up and fell into conversation with a couple of guys from the Tacoma area on a couple of real fine GS1200s for a weekend ride. (YAY, my trip!!!) Gave them what little knowledge I had about places to stay around Methow.
Appears that most of the road travel was obscured by trees/hills as the Spot does not seem to register any of the nuances of this part of the "trip". So distance is off significantly.
