Brought my SPOT along on a SAR mission searching for two overdue hikers.  They were found pretty quickly on the "wrong" side of a rain-swollen "brook".  Photos are of two NH F&G officers crossing the river.  Was thinking how the overdue hikers could have let their loved ones know they were "OK" using a SPOT, or even used the 911 feature.  There was no cell service where they were.  Family worried overnight for 12 hours before they knew they were "OK".
