My Adventure Story
I pulled into Eureka Dunes campground around 8:00 PM and setup
camp. It was so dark I couldn't see the Dunes a couple hundred yards
away. The stars in the sky were incredible though! Later that night I
was awake and contemplating going outside to view the meteor shower.
At that time my tent lit up like a car was pulling in a few hundred
feet away. I realized the nearest car was at least 40 miles away and
it was a meteor that lit up the tent .
I went outside and saw about 10 meteors in the sky in 3 minutes. It was very cols so I went back in and went to sleep.
Left Eureka Dunes heading for Stovepipe Wells to refuel. Stopped at the west end of Titus Canyon and hiked a ways into the slot canyon. It was an amazing place. The road was closed to vehicular traffic due to the pass between Titus Canyon and Beatty, NV closed due to snow.
