I stayed over at Katy's house in Ma On Shan on New Year's Eve in order to be ready for a hike on New Year's Day.  We set out on the 4 hour hike a little after noon and had decent weather that got better as the day went on.  The sky was about as clear as you get in Hong Kong, with the sun poking through sometimes.

It was a little chilly, but we kept moving and wasn't bad at all.  If the wind had been stronger it would have been much colder.

It was a really nice hike and it finished with seeing dozens of para-gliders catching the updrafts on the windward side of Ma On Shan peak.
