Day 2 of the Ulimate NW weekend.  Kayaked to Eliza Island for first time.  Conditions were winds 15 - 17 SE winds w/ wind waves approx 1 - 2 ft. & occasional white caps.  Return leg wind lessened and as I approached Marine Park a light wind picked up from the NE.  Head wind both directions!  Overcast skies but most of San Juan Islands were visible and even some of the Olympic peaks on the southern horizon.  Approx paddling time was 3 hrs., 1 hr 25 min to reach Eliza & 1 hr. 35 min to return to Marine Park.

Perfect example of why I live in the Pac NW!!!
