In May of 2010 I took a trip from my home in Westchester County to visit my 85 year old Mom in Vero Beach, Florida.

To make the trip a bit more interesting I stayed off the Route 95 corridor and tried to take lots of smaller backroads.

After Charlottesville, Va I headed west to see a bit of the Blue Ridge area before heading down to Savannah and on to Florida. In all a much more satisfying trip than just blasting down the highway.
