My Adventure Story

A glorious winter day,Few clouds, a Full tank of Fuel and a Day to kill.
after attending to some work at the coast I headed from tugun up the Currumbin Valley and Across the Boarder to Murwillumbah. Had a coffee and a chat with the lovely lady that served me. THe plan was to go up the Numinbah Valley, back over the boarder into Queensland and then back to Nerang.
When I arrived at the summit of the road, There were three other bikers stopped for a spell. I stopped and talked with them for a while. One of the guys said that there is a road that goes over the crest of one of the neary peaks. They showed it to me on a map. so I changed my plan,
Down to the "Natural Bridge" and a quick walk around the short circuit. Took some photos of the pool. I remember, as a kid, the stories of groups going swimming in the hole which was always way cooler then on the coast, but now the whole area is blocked off. Pictures only, Obviously the swimmers were damaging the place.
After this I continued north and the turned off onto Pine Creek Road which also appears as Gold Coast Springbrook road, and wound back and forth up to the top of the mountain. Mount springbrook.
Took a photo or three and then continued down the other side to Mudgeeraba.

Total trip length was about 320 Km. The road was very rough in some places and there were many places through the rain forrest areas where the road surface was still wet, Making me concerned about just how much grip there was. As this is my first trip through here I took it pretty easy, Although I do admit, only one other bike actually over took my cautious riding, but whenever I stoopped there seemed to be plenty of bikes flying past. They must have been making the same pace As I was, That made me feel a bit better.
Would love to come back through this section in the future, when I have had a little more time in the saddle to be a whole lot more comfortable with all the tight corners.
