My Adventure Story
This adventure is just a short sail as a shakedown to check the boat out, and try all the equipment...and to get our sea legs!
We just sailed a bit in Buzzard's bay, before anchoring behind Bassetts Island.
Anchored behind the island for the night.. had a great dinner.. then breakfast in the morning.
Going back to the mooring, the wind was out of the south, so sailing would be a challenge at best. We decided to motor, to check out the diesel and to charge the batteries.
Once out in Buzzards Bay, we found ourselves in a bad fog bank! Fired up the autopilot and radar. Got lots of practice using the radar back.
Tried out the new gps to control the autopilot. Worked like a charm!
Got back to Marion, there was no fog at all. No indication that there was such a bad fog bang out there!
