My Adventure Story

July 3:
We picked up our tent and got the bikes packed to head to Cody, WY today.  And what a BEAUTIFUL ride!  The winds were up - again - but I think we're getting used to it by now!

We stopped for fuel and Starbucks in Gillette and met a nice man and his wife - his name is Rick Law - easy one to remember!  They pointed us on which direction to take and it kept us clear of a lot of road construction and a much better scenic view!!

The mountain terrains here in Wyoming are WOW!  Now I know what it means!  Our ride thru Big Horn Nat'l forest was jaw dropping!  It's hard to curve, lean, throttle and pick your jaw up off the ground at every turn!  Cyndi saw a moose!  I missed it :(  There were plenty of deer to be seen, and we believe we may have seen a cluster of mustangs in the distance.

As we rounded thru Burlington, the last stretch of 33 miles into Cody, all the engine and oil lights went off on Cyndi's bike!  We swapped positions and I tailed her to Cody - she left the bike running while we registered, parked it, and turned it off - and it never came back on!

The local Harley tech that was recommended to us by the Motor Maids said he'd be by after the 4th of July parade to pick up her bike.  So we finally got some downtime to chill out and regroup and partake in some Libations!!

July 4:
Cyndi is sick as a dog.  The allergies we've both been suffering from turned into bronchitis for her.  Luckily she's got a connection and was able to get an antibiotic script called in for her here at the Walgreens.  She slept in while I donned my uniform for the Parade.  It was a good turnout, and lots of peeps lined the street and there were close to 80 float/entries.  A pretty big to-do here!!

The HD tech did come and pick up Cyndi's bike.  Turns out the infamous voltage regulator went capoey!

When Cyndi was feeling better, we strolled the "drag" here and did some shopping, had a liter of jammin margaritas and good mexi food for dinner, watched the local fireworks in the mountains - was a pretty good show, and ended the day!

July 5:

fToday is gonna be a "dead day"  I'm going to walk down to the museum and check it out, grab some good grub, then head to the board meeting at 1:00.  Then is our district meet n greet and Tshirt passouts tonight, then meetings again all day tomorrow!

Wednesday I plan to do St. Joseph Scenic byway and beartooth pass.  Will report more then
