My Adventure Story

OUR WARRIOR CROSSED THE FINISH LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To start day 13 Jim had to have a new rear tire put on his motorcycle at the HD dealer in Fairbanks so the "team" got off to a later start.  Jim said there was so much road construction, cold and rain that it was a pretty miserable day.  They rode approximately 600 miles from Fairbanks to Homer.  They crossed the finish line at 1:30 AM, technically day 14.

Jim was not the Hoka Hey winner as several had crossed before he did but he did finish and was the oldest rider to do so.  If we are to believe the blogs we read on the Internet about the challenge, over half dropped out.  But not Jim.  He finished and finished proud.

I know he wants to thank all of you who provided either products, support or prayer for the memorable trip.  I am unsure of his exact plans but he said when I talked to him, "I just want to go home".

This will be my last post until he and I meet up in the not too distant future when he returns to the lower 48 states.  I will then let you know that he is back and safe.  I will at that time send whatever pictures I can that Jim was able to take on this ride of a lifetime.

On behalf of myself, Jim's immediate family and friends, THANK YOU for your support of this Elite Warrior.

Extremely impressive and inspirational for any person. Jim being at this stage in his life to take on and complete such an event is something we all can step back and say "GREAT JOB " . Thank you for the updates and from the crew at BBS thank Jim for letting us be part of it. Duane Owner, Bungee Bitch Strap...
