My Adventure Story

A bike ride from Germany to California by fair means.  Jeff is on the way home after 5 years.  Vanessa is ready for an adventure.  They will bike, boat and bike their way from the Bodensee in Southern Germany to Placerville California through Western Europe, Morocco and then a boat west, destination still uncertain.  Either through Central America or across the States, in about a year they should be arriving at their destination.  July 22st, 2010 is date of departure.

Thanks Ken..it´s a nice surprise to hear from you. I´ll look forward to the day when we can chat about your time in Morocco. Fascinating place. We did get a little overwhelmed at times with the hawkers...after a while you start wishing for a little more personal space, but all it all a very positive experience throughout. Hi everyone, Finally we´re sitting down to post a few photos of the tour so far. It´s only the first month of 12 but already the places we´ve seen and the people we´ve met across countries and cultures has been eye opening, stimulating, educational, inspirational. After 1 day in Germany, we entered Switzerland and rode southwest through the hills of the Alps to Geneva, down the Rhone in France into southern wine country, across the Pyrenees over Andorra and then into Spain stepping down over the mountains to the south eventually getting our first view of the Mediterrenean outside of Girona. To close the first stage we enjoyed a couple days in the town of Tossa de Mar. Stage 2 will take us about a month and will go further down the coast over Barcelona, Valencia, inland through Andalucia and the Sierra Nevada to Grenada and then back to the coast and a crossing into Moracco at Tarife. At the moment we´ll have to create a new link for each stage which I´ll send out over the previous stage link when the time comes. Thanks for your support. Until next time. Jeff + Vanessa
