My Adventure Story
It should've been a nice trip from Torsholm to Vårdö, first NW and arching down South via Yxskär and Simskäla.
However, Mother Nature had the last word: first day wind N 14 m/s with gusts up to 19 m/s. Progress was slow and open stretches impassable - I might be crazy but not stupid.
So we cut the trip short and did a leisurely cruise down to Enklinge on Sunday to catch a ferry back to Torsholm.
Apart from wind, it was beautiful: sunny and fresh. Few birds left this time of the year. The event of the trip was to watch an elk (she) to try to run away from a very persistent suitor. They swam from rock to rock, getting up from water and back into water again. Impressive and so... human :)
