I think Spot lost the plot around Gibson-we are not there and did not even come thru there, so goodness knows why he sees fit to plot that as our end point tonite?
We are in Esperance. Left Lake Grace about 0730 in 12' this morning and dodged suicidual parrots along the 100km to Hyden and Wave rock. It was well worth the look, very very unusual.
Thermals off by now as it was 28' and sunny...wow...that makes 6 days in a row weve had sunshine! Stayed on the seal till Lake King where we fuelled and then headed 'bush' for the 250km down to Esperance on dirt back roads. Kinda came unstuck with that plan about 100km short of Esp when the sky opened up and turned our nice dirt road to red water and sand! Bike flicked this shit all up Joolz back much to her disgust, we suited up but it managed to get in everywhere and soak into our bags as well.
Spent the first hour in town at the laundromat!
Had a real nice chinese for tea, makes a change from 'pub-grub' so we take every chance we get to vary the diet. Have just spoken to Rob from the farm I worked last autumn and we are going to visit for a while tomorrow on our way towards the Nullarbor- are booked to stay at a sheep station along the way; Fraser Range station, in old stone shearers quarters.
