Hiked 9.7 miles of the west fork trail 94 to the west baldy mountain trailhead.
Stayed in Greer at the Greer Lodge Resort cabin 174. First time using spot GPS & Delorme Earthmate PN-60 w. Did not have the two paired for auto tracking and check ok messages. Cade's first trip with a pack (loaded to 18 pounds) hiked from 8,035 feet to 9,265 feet. Remote snow covered location with lots of fresh animal tracks including black bear.
