My Adventure Story
Due to a freak blizzard in Sedona, I had to head south to get a good ride in. Upon locals advice, I ended up in Black Canyon. I didn't have a map, just a sort of description of the lollipop loop that was popular. The whole trail is over 70 miles long and goes all the way to Phoenix. I turned around at a 4 way intersection with a jeep road where both trails signed as the same. It didn't bring me back to the part of the trail I was expecting the loop to connect at, but it could have been correct.
It was a very challenging ride - not because of long climbs or overly technical terrain, but just because you never got a chance to rest - climb, exposure, descent over technical, watch that cactus, climb again, etc. It was mentally draining near the end! But no snow or mud!
