My Adventure Story
We got out and explored the local area today in our rental SUV. Drove up to Bradenton (10 mi) to visit an long time friend of John's Mom. Isabel Duncan is 94 years old and they have known each other since the mid-1940's! Quite a remarkable lady...has visited every state in the U.S. and all seven continents (incl Antarctica).
Steve and Ruth Jaroski (
Sequel) joined us for a shopping trip to St Armand's just across the Waterway from Sarasota. This is some place! Has to be over 200 stores and restaurants. Of course, the ladies invaded Chicos!
John's Mom flew back to Maryland this afternoon...non-stop 2 hr flight to BWI on AirTrans. We had a wonderful time with her onboard the last 10 days. She got to meet many of our boater friends and see another side of Florida.
