Today we visited the John & Mabel Ringling Museum in Sarasota.  All we knew about them was the circus (Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus).

What we didn't know was the extent of his wealth, art collections, mansion on the water (Ca d'Zan).  [  http://www.ringling.org/cadmansion.aspx ]

We've included some photos of the grounds, Asolo Theatre, Circus Museum, Art Museum and the mansion but the web site [ http://www.ringling.org/ ] has much more.

Five hours were barely enough to see everything and another visit in the future is a must.
