Booked the trip with HC travel of UK. I rode a Yamaha 450W dirt bike. My wife and a friend rode in a Landcruiser. The first day I fell and broke my right fibula above the ankle. This ended my riding but I continued the trip in the car. I thought my injury was just a sprain and walked on it for 4 weeks. We continued our trip through Mongolia and then to China for a week and another week in Tibet.

Had the leg xrayed when I got home. BROKEN! It was healing OK so no surgery.

I am returning again this year, 2012, to finish the trip by MC.

The scenery in the Steppes is great and the culture fascinating.
