Ivy wanted to try out her ankle after being benched for almost 2 weekends.  After our 40 mile backpacking excursion she may have a stress fracture.  

This hike is about 40 miles East of Colorado Springs and just South of Calhan.  The loop is about 4 miles long.  If you take the first trail to your right, you will go into the most scenic part of the attraction.  Take your time and explore some of the corridors.  Once you leave out of the rock formations, the trail takes you back out into the open prairie. While you have uninhibited views, there is not much to see on the prairie.  In the Summer, bring some water and sun block as there is little to no protection from the Sun.
