Boy Scout Troop 220 from Lee's Summit, MO went on an 8-day canoeing trek in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area of Northern Minnesota and Ontario, Canada. The troop sent two crews of 8 each (boys and adults) who each planned and executed separate routes.

In all, we traveled 76 miles, including a total of 1786 rods of portaging (1 rod = 16.5 ft, so we portaged a total of 5.6 miles!)

We enjoyed seeing the spectacular sights of the Boundary Waters and learned a lot about ourselves and each other as we canoed our way on a  nearly 80 mile long trek. Memories of our trek will last a lifetime!
