In July my wife and I flew to San Diego, CA to see our new granddaughter.  We rented a car and spent almost two weeks road tripping around California.  We saw Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley, and Joshua Tree National Parks.  We also crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and drove Highway 1 through Big Sur.  The Mojave Desert was also on our route.  We had a great time and look forward to returning soon.
