Saturday, August 28, 2011Hiked the Mist Ridge Loop in K-Country. This is ridge walk that will allow up to about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) of continuous ridge walking. It would seem not such a popular hike since I was the only one out there on a gorgeous Saturday in August. However, that is not to detract from the quality of the hike - To be sure, this is phenomenal ridge hike - highly recommended.I hiked the recommended route but also extended the ridge walk to its conclusion before the technical climb starts to Storm Mountain. I then dropped down into the headwaters of Mist Creek. Some bushwacking required to return to the trail downstream was needed, but it was not bad at all.
