After a brief  "Shake-down" paddle from Georgia to Jacksonville in April, 2011, I decided to wait until the winter of 2012 to begin anew. The weather was horrible, mosquitoes were beginning to reappear and I suddenly developed "eye floaters" which I knew I had to get checked out. So, I have printed all the marine charts and will reassemble the gear this winter of 2012, when the prevailing winds will be more northerly and begin anew the circumnavigate paddle of the state of Florida in my NDK Explorer HV.
