My Adventure Story
This was an amazing overnight hike through the Zion Narrows, starting at Chamberlain Ranch and camping in Site #4. I have wanted to hike this route for years, and finally had the chance to go with two great friends. The weather was perfect, and the water level was just right. We walked through mostly knee-level water in the Virgin River on day one. On day two, after we passed the confluence of the Virgin River and Deep Creek, we encountered several spots of waist-deep water, and some locations that were actually so deep that we had to swim with our packs. The water temperature was probably in the low 60s (teens Celsius), so it was cold enough to take your breath away at first, but it was easy to get accustomed once we were in.
