We left Santa Cruz with a good NW blowing 20 to 25 kts gusting to 30. The swells were 6 to 8 ft. at 11 seconds. It was all down-hill in record time. On our way down the dolphins spotted our boat and decided to come over for a visit. The girls had a great time getting an up close and personal look at one of nature’s smartest marine mammals. Rose reached out and petted one as it jumped across our bow. It was if they were welcoming us to Southern California. We arrived in Santa Barbara late the next night and grabbed a space on the gas dock for the night. In the morning we moved over to the anchorage just east of the wharf. The morning offered us warm winds and palm trees. The dolphins were swimming around the boat saying hello again. Life is good!
