Cabin Boy - Log - Day 2

To reach our first anchorage we set a 12pm deadline for departure, in order to reach it in time. We left at 2pm with a few projects left. With most systems go, we headed out freshly showered and hungry because we hadn't taken a moment to eat. To busy. We crammed down some cheese crackers and gatorade after we got underway. My best meal in days. Here's the rest of our day:

-We passed the brand new sea walls being constructed for New Orleans. Seems they learned their lesson. Although it was another ditch, the mood was good knowing we were on our way.
-By nightfall we arrived at an acceptable anchorage since we couldn't make Cat Island.
-Moonlight Dancer called us on our VHF and welcomed us to the anchorage. They just happen to have the same sailing agenda as us and invited us to do the low crawl with them when we reached the keys. (I'm sure it's something to do with sailors and rum but will have to wait to see.
-We ate a quick dinner and hit the sack early in preparation of finishing our final tasks in the morning and hitting the open ocean.

Love You Sweetheart.
