My Adventure Story
We departed at 09:00 this morning. Wish I could say, "after a great breakfast.."
It was a very nice day riding over an area of high desert, made us feel like we were in Reno. Very little wind. Perfect road and no worry of potholes.
When we crossed the pass and started down to the ocean there was a dramatic drop in temperature.
When they replaced the rear tire at the Yamaha Dealer in Antofagasta they broke part of the valve stem, making it impossible to add air to the tire. I went to a large motorcycle dealer in La Serena, (Yamaha and Honda) and they replaced the broken unit with a rubber valve stem, thus had to remove the sending unit. I'll try to get it fixed in Santiago on Saturday.
Tomorrow its off to Valparaiso, where we'll stay for two nights.
Got here at 14:00 after a 266 mile day.
