My Adventure Story
Left at 10:00 after a late breakfast.
A great adventure coming down from the neighborhood where the Robinson Crusoe is located, talk about steep hills. When we made it out the bottom there was a group of taxi drivers standing around - they cheered us.
The ride over here was like being on a California freeway. A couple of great funnels.
Once in Santiago the highway goes under the city through a very long tunnel with many on/off ramps etc. I've never seen anything like it.
We're at the Manquehue Hotel that's located in the Las Condes neighborhood of Santiago. Folks leave their helmets on their bikes so we're back to civilization. Feels good.
Difficult to believe that Christmas is nearing as its summer here. We're reminded by all the Christmas decorations.
Back on the road tomorrow, heading for Bariloche, Argentina. We'll cross the Andes on Wednesday, enter Argentina and end up in Bariloche.
