My Adventure Story
This morning I went over to the Santiago BMW dealer and was there when they opened at 08:00. They had the tire sensor in stock so I had them replace the one the Yamaha folks in Antofagasta broke. The mechanic that would do the work on the GS doesn't come in until 10:30 so it was 12:40 by the time we hit the road south.
It was a pleasant ride down to Los Angeles, 236 miles of four lane freeway. Mostly orchards and groves of fruit. Could be in California except the mountains are much higher and there are volcanoes. Could have been driving from San Diego to Los Angeles but there is very little traffic. There are only about 14 million people in the entire country.
We got to Los Angeles at 18:55 and hired a taxi to lead us to our hotel. Avoids all sorts of frustration at the end of the day.
