We are making this trip beginning in sunny San Diego, CA and ending in historic St. Augustine, FL with 27 other riders from around the country. It will take 9 weeks, averaging 63 miles a day, camping most of the way. The track-map on this Introduction Page is an approximate route for our trip.

If you choose to enjoy following our adventure, we ask that you read below and consider donating to one of two charities we have selected. We have chosen these two groups because we have personally participated in-country with each one’s mission. In Haiti we participated in delivering a medical clinic in 2007, and in Tijuana, we often go and play with the children at the orphanage. Both charities are run with very efficient use of resources, so you know your dollar goes far. A little more detail about each:

HOPE FOR HAITI FOUNDATION was started by a friend of Sue's, a Haitian who immigrated to the US, then went on to get his master’s degree and had a successful career in the biotechnology industry. But he never forgot where he came from and he and his family have now brought a school, a clinic and hope for the people of his remote home town. This charity’s focus is to provide services and employment to Haitians in several remote villages so they do not need to go to overcrowded Port au Prince, abandoning their agrarian culture.

Links to the donation site for both these charities can be found at the end of the paragraphs above. If you do choose to donate, please indicate "C2C bike ride" in the sponsor field on the appropriate site. One of the charities has a matching challenge grant so each dollar is matched with another one.
THANK YOU
Thank you in advance for any amount you give to these organizations, it will directly help our neighbors in need.
