My Adventure Story
The northern spot is in Mine wash with Kalon & Jessica. We drove in through Rodrigues Canyon, hiked in Quartz vein wash, camped at the end of Mine wash & drove out Grapevine Canyon. 2-23 & 24-12
The Southern spot is on arroyo seco del diablo just west of the drop off. We met Kaly at the Carrizo Badlands overlook on 2-25. We hiked the 2 slot canyons of canyon sin nombre before driving to arroyo seco del diablo. We hiked a slot canyon marked as such on the map before getting to the drop off. When we found water ( quicksand) we had to turn around. Camped at the southern spot. Next day we drove down the drop off and into Sandstone Canyon where we hiked a bit before driving home.
The wether was beautiful & warm, almost too hot. The wildflowers were few and scrawny.
