Distance: Approximately 10km

My walk was from East Beach Kiama, along the clifftops, to Gerringong. I left around 11:30am carrying only my pack, 2L of water and all my wet weather gear. It rained lightly almost the entire walk. I didnt realise that i was meant to take a path up to the street and along for a bit and instead made my way across some slippery rocks and steep muddy ledges for about 1km. It was very dangerous and i had a few really close calls. When i got back on track i walk at a slower pace, stoping every 10min to take a photo of the cliffs in each direction and of all the interesting storyboards(see photos). There was a fair bit of climb and fall. The wind was fierce and the waves were crashing so strong they shot up into the air almost as far up as i was! I could feel the spray of them. But my wet weather gear was doing its job and i stayed warm. There were a few creeks to cross, and i was surprised at how deep my boots went without letting any water in. That was until i got to the creek that is right between the cliffs and Werri Beach. It was a really dark colored water and i couldnt tell just how deep it was. But it was the only way over so over i went. The water came up a few inchs over my bellybuton and from that point on it was soggy boots all the way. The distace from there to the actuall shops was alot further then i had thought and i got into town at about 2:45. After a quick look around the shops and a much needed bathroom break, i enjoyed a hamburger from the takeway for lunch. It tasted awesome, i guess anything would have tasted good i was so hungry. Then i called a cab and after a 10min wait i was on my way back to base camp. This was my first time trying out the spot 2. It work just as i had hoped and i cant wait to take it on some harder treks.

I find the streight lines between each 10min GPS message cuts out some of the actual distance you walk.
