My Adventure Story
This was Rich's second supported sea swim of the year. The water did not warmed up since his last swim so the aim was to swim for longer than 68mins. A 3-4 North Easterly means the Bournemouth coastline was calm but the cold water soon started to sink in after 40min and the rest of the swim was a slog until the end. The attached YouTube clip shows what happens to the stroke when the blood shifts away from the arms and legs and pools around the vital organs. Another great swim by Rich. 70mins 9 degree water, and some quality food at Urban Reef!!
