We had a leisurely start this morning because we only had a short distance to go to Las Vegas.  On the way in we stopped at Hoover Dam and ended up spending a few hours there.  We were able to get a spot in the dam tour that had only a 45 minute wait.  We saw a brief movie, went up to the observation deck and checked out the exhibits before going on the tour.

The highlights of the tour were going inside the power plant to the generator room and going into tunnels to see the inspection galleries.  If you have the chance to tour the Hoover Dam this is the tour to take.  When we ended the tour by coming out on top of the dam it was 115 degrees!  It was time for lunch and then on to Las Vegas.

We left the parking garage and drove over the dam and then u-turned and drove back when the road ended.  We had only 20 miles or so to go before getting to our hotel.  It was hot.  The bike got hot more than once but kept on going.  We made a quick stop at the Honda shop to pick up more antifreeze and then headed for the hotel.  Stop and go traffic made for an uncomfortable ride but we finally made it to our destination.

We are here for 2 nights and plan on exploring Las Vegas tomorrow.  There are so many things that have been built since we were last here that we may have a busy day.
